Web based reporting and accounting integration with Spectrum
 I have over 5 years experince with Spectrum and have become very familiar with the Spectrum database and have written over 300 free standing application that work with the Spectrum Construction Software Database
Back with Forefront Version 10 and 11, I used an ODBC connection to access ForeFront's Pervasive SQL data to create an estimate history application that compared construction estimates to actual costs to help fine tune our estimating departments bids with feedback from the field. Almost since we began using ForeFront, I have had complaints from the users that the interface has issues and that ForeFront lacked the reports they wanted and the owners asked me If I would look into data interfaces so that we could get the reports thet the users wanted.
Since Spectrum's conversion to Microsoft SQL database on version 12.0, back then ForeFront, I have developed a variety of dashboard applications, productivity applications and reporting, tracking, and graphing software written to give meaningful views of accounting information to knowledge-workers. I have written a number of crystal reports that are integrated into Spectrum's Custom Crystal Report Development Tab built right into the accounting application. I have also created a number of cost analysis programs and data browsing functions that have allowed users to see the information from perspectives that are not available in the Spectrum Interface.
I have written dashboard webparts in Sharepoint to provide everything from executive overview dashboards to programs that tell users and thier managers how long an invoice has been in your inbox awating approval for Invoice Routing Approval.
Most of the programs I have written for Spectrum reside in our MOSS 2007, Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server, as dashboards and productivity reporting applications. I am privelidged to work with these integration tools and am proud of the gains we have made in improving efficiency, workflow, cost management, and reporting.
